Title: WACsmash 2024: Reels of Time

Description: WACsmash is a showcase and gallery of dance, film, visual art, music, spoken word, photography, and other artistic work created and produced by undergraduate students in the World Arts and Cultures/Dance Department. Our production’s theme this year is Reels of Time. This film-based and inspired production explores various lived experiences to provide a platform to inform and better represent different cultures, forms, and identities. Reels of Time takes on an original and imaginative approach to content and form through the collaboration between visual arts and dance performance within UCLA. Each piece interacts with movement, visual and aural art, and dance in different capacities, accompanied by projection, photography, film, and spoken word.
