INSPIRATION

This work looks at three areas of change in Borderline Personality Disorder. Extreme changes in emotion, unstable sense of self, and instability in relationships all encapsulate the sense that people with BPD can be one person one moment, and a completely different person the next.

Bio.

Emma-Rose Allen, a senior in the dance major at UCLA, is honored to have her work shared on the Kaufman stage. She has worked on numerous dance and theatre projects throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties, including acting in music videos, producing her first full-length dance concert in October 2018, and choreographing plays and musicals for companies like Ojai Youth Entertainers Studio, Ojai Arts Center, and Santa Paula Theater Center. Recently, she used her movement training to film a “POV” commercial as an in-motion camera operator! Other professional opportunities include dancing with two companies, Movement Theatre CoLab and Megill and Company. Emma-Rose is passionate about advocating for mental health, and aims to make work that creates an opening to talk about such issues. She is infinitely grateful both for the support from peers and mentors and for YOU for coming to Wacsmash 2023!
