Call To Action

Find local gardens or Environmental/Climate Justice organizations near you and volunteer (especially women-led ones)! Another thing we can do is of course use less single-use plastics, and order less from big companies, but while the individual actions are important, the most impactful way we can make change is as a community. If you are unable to do those action items, donate to environmental justice organizations, specifically those listed below(!), or reach out to local or state legislators/sign petitions to divest in fossil fuels, or lean more into climate friendly lawmaking.

Bio.

Hi I'm Avi, from Oakland, CA, and I'm so proud and grateful to have been able to bring this piece to life. This piece is a montage of digital clips as well as different types of dance movement. It explores the crossing of intersectional feminism and environmental justice, and the different stages this carries: from defeated and angry, to hopeful and empowered.
